The UK’s leading telephone answering service Answer-4u has pledged its support for local charity Star Trust, donating £2,500 in sponsorship.

Star Trust is an East Midlands-based charity, run by local business owners and entrepreneurs with a passion for fundraising for local charities. Funds are raised through the charity’s unique calendar of events, including supercar days and an annual ball.

Nottingham-based Answer-4u provide 24/7 365 telephone answering and business support services to a nationwide client base undertaking critical business functions such as virtual reception,  diary management, emergency call out, help desk assistance and order processing.

Mark Menhennet, managing director of Answer-4u, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting Star Trust over the next year with the fantastic work they do for great causes.

“As a Nottingham-based business, we’re committed to giving back to the local community and the funds raised by Star Trust make a tangible difference to those charities that need the money to continue their much-needed work.

“We have been to two of the Star Trust events this year and learned so much about the charities who receive the funds. We look forward to meeting more charities as we get more involved with the Star Trust.”

Answer-4u was established by husband and wife team, Mark and Sarah Menhennet in Nottingham in 2004. The business quickly grew to become a market leader and now boasts a team of around 140 professional customer support agents and support staff based in city centre offices servicing over 2,500 clients from all over the UK across numerous industries.

Managed growth, a strong commitment to business continuity and investment in cutting edge technology have made Answer-4u the provider of choice for a growing number of UK businesses in legal, medical, facilities management and financial services, in both business to business and business to consumer markets.

Chairman of Star Trust Steve Hampson said: “We’re thrilled to have Answer-4u on board as a sponsor for the next 12 months. Having the support of a nationally-operating company like Answer-4u helps us raise our profile and attract more like-minded business people who want to give back.

“So far we’ve had a fantastic year and we’re hoping to smash our target of raising £500,000 for the charities we support. To date we have donated more than £505,000 to 44 different charities in the region.”

The trust’s third and final event of the year, the Star Trust Ball, will be held on 17 November at Stapleford Park and will be a glamorous occasion expected to raise over £100,000 with 172 guests in attendance.

All of the funds raised by Star Trust go directly to local charities with no payment being kept by the trust. Star Trust current supports 40 charities across five East Midlands’ counties, including Steps, PASIC, Forever Stars, Emmanuel House, The Child Bereavement Centre and more.
