Having founded, grown, and then sold Hampsons Self Drive Hire in 2007, Steve became actively involved in The Prince’s Trust as Co-Chair for private fundraising in the East Midlands where he met Tim Maxted and they decided to create The Star Trust. Steve continues to be founder and chairman alongside operating his own investment funds.

Charles Bentley and Son

James is Managing Director of his family business, Charles Bentley and Son, which has been established for over 160 years. The business manufactures and supplies home, garden and leisure products to retailers and consumers across the UK and abroad.

Roythornes Solicitors

Lisa joined Roythornes Solicitors in 2018 having previously spent more than 20 years in the legal profession in the East Midlands, including many years as a commercial property solicitor. Lisa works closely with the Board in shaping the firm’s long-term strategy for growth.

The Venue Experts

Stacey is an entrepreneur and sales strategist with 20+ years’ experience in the wedding and hospitality sectors. As founder of The Venue Experts, she helps venues thrive through innovation and sales psychology. In her spare time, she champions women’s empowerment, promoting self-defence and martial arts to build confidence and resilience.

Harlaxton Estates

Emma is a Business Development and Property Executive at Harlaxton Estates, along side this Emma is also the administrator of the trust and the first point of contact to our charities. She also co-ordinates our fundraising events that we hold throughout the year.

IMP & MAKER

Sarah is the award-winning CEO and Founder of IMP & MAKER, a company revolutionising food and drink gifting. Recognised as Business Leader of the Year 2024 and Corporate Gifting Experts of the Year 2023, Sarah’s innovative approach creates unforgettable experiences that elevate brands. Alongside supporting The Star Trust Sarah is also an Ambassador of Farm Africa Charity.

The Partnership Collection

Torie is the founder and Director of The Partnership Collection, the UK’s most exclusive experiential private members club, concierge service, and luxury event management services. She has been on the board since 2015 and is actively involved in fundraising events.

Ryley Wealth Management Ltd

David established Ryley Wealth Management in 1999, becoming a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society in 2016. He emphasises the importance of giving back and set up the 1% Matters Fund, in which he works with charities and local organisations in and around Nottingham.

Natwest Bank

Claire is a Director at NatWest, covering the Midlands and East of England as a Client Partnership Manager. With over 40 years of experience in banking and finance, Claire brings a wealth of insight and expertise to her role. Claire joined the Star Trust as she is passionate about making a real difference in the East Midlands

With a proven track record of building and scaling businesses, she is now exploring new ventures that bring together innovation, sustainability, and growth. Passionate about creating impact-driven enterprises, Anna Wooster-Mann thrives at the intersection of business and purpose.

Torquay Group

Pat founded P&D Specialist Services in 2008, before co-founding MVIS in 2012 where he became Managing Director in 2013. From 2017 to 2023, he was also Co-Owner and Director of Bartco Australia. Today, Pat brings his extensive industry experience to his role as Torquay Group Ambassador, Board Member and Shareholder.
